'The Dentaa Show' – my return to the small screen

Friday, 10 March 2017

It's so good to be back on the screen! Time flies! It's been more than ten years since the last time The Dentaa Show debuted on the nation's TVs. And so much has changed in that time, so much has been achieved. However, I felt the time was right to return to the small screen.

Last week it was my pleasure to unleash my brand new project, 'The Dentaa Show' - a syndicated magazine programme which focuses on coverage of entertainment events, interviews with celebrities and new music videos. It premiered to universal acclaim on Sunday 5th March 2017 as it was broadcast on ABN TV, the UK's favourite Afro-Caribbean channel. And I couldn't be happier nor prouder!

I have to take the opportunity to thank you, the viewers, for standing by me as I took a big step into the unknown in my efforts to bring back The Dentaa Show. Your love and support has helped catapult the maiden edition of this present iteration of The Dentaa Show into the stratosphere as it became the 3rd most-viewed programme on ABN on premiere day, with over 30000 live viewers!

What has made The Dentaa Show such a phenomenal and sensational success? Personally I feel that a key ingredient for the success of The Dentaa Show is its desire to peek 'through the keyhole' at Ghana's influential and powerful. When creating the blueprint for this programme, one thing which I really sought to do was to give viewers exclusive access into the lives of the people we see so much of but may not know too much about. The show aims to probe into deep areas of their lives, considering sensitive viewpoints and personal opinions. It's a key mission of mine to cross barriers and enter into unexplored terrain in order to bring the genuineness of the cream of Ghana's crop to your living rooms.

I really want to shine a light on tough subjects and difficult issues, in order to increase awareness and stimulate conversation. The show will look to take serious issues head-on - issues such as child trafficking, and child mortality - while also featuring powerful revelatory testimonies from an array of special guests.

I'll also have lots of fun segments, such as visiting the houses of celebrities and being hosted by them as they cook a meal for me! You can look forward to cameos from many of Ghana's elite and famous, from a variety of fields, with future segments featuring names such as Nana Ama McBrown and Sonnie Badu among many many others!

I really believe that the only way is up for The Dentaa Show! Ensure you don't make the mistake of missing out, because I would love nothing more than to have you as part of this awesome new journey - make me a part of your Sunday nights by catching The Dentaa Show on ABN TV every Sunday at 8pm!
